Mr. Ryder handles the full scope of intellectual property matters including client counseling, preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, preparation of copyright registration applications, patent and trademark searches, legal opinions including patentability, trademarkability, infringement, and clearance opinions, licensing agreements, and procurement of intellectual property rights.
Mr. Ryder is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Ryder has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications for a wide variety of clients, industries and technologies.
Mr. Ryder’s patent prosecution practice covers a vast array of technical fields including electrical, mechanical, computer, software, business method, Internet, video, telecommunications and semiconductors. Mr. Ryder also has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting trademark applications for a wide variety of clients and industries.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Ryder spent ten years utilizing his electrical engineering technical background in a variety of engineering and management positions. Mr. Ryder was a program manager for a company that designed, developed and deployed several systems controlling oceanic air traffic control.
